Sometimes, Solana users accidentally wind up with wrapped Solana in their wallets. This can happen when using dapps, when there are incomplete transactions, etc. Wrapped Solana can't be used to pay transaction fees on the blockchain, so you'll need to unwrap it for it to be usable again. Fortunately, unwrapping your wSol is easy. Here are two methods:
SolFlare Wallet
If your wrapped Solana is inside a SolFlare wallet, you can unwrap it right inside your wallet from the main Portfolio tab. Just click on the three vertical dots and select UNWRAP.
Step Finance
Your second option is to use Step Finance to swap wSol for Sol. Remember, you'll need a small amount of non-wrapped Sol already in your wallet for gas fees.
